Happy birthday Amy A! Hope your 50's keep you bright and shiny and bring less drama than mine.

It was a pleasant weekend with Ben, my family, and a few friends. This week brings more Aussenbergs to town (Liz and David) and perhaps some new decisions about my treatment. The prospect of shaking things up in the medical arena revs my engines.

Apparently, there are opportunities for excitement, even in this so-called life.

Elyse,
It was so good to get back in town and talk to you and read your blog and catch up on your absolutely WONDERFUL news!!! I am so happy for you, and could hear your relief in your voice too. Glad to know you hit the "jackpot" this week...better than me in the casino! I knew that your fighting spirit and positive attitude could beat this thing, and you are proving me right! I thought about you daily while I was gone, and again, I am so happy at your news. I hope you can feel the hugs I am sending you through the computer till I can see you and give you some in person. Love you.

Elyse,
Now back from beautiful Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee, I have Internet connection again. The news of your "mass busting" is outstanding! Hurray! I am glad I read that before reading your "stats" report. But the stats entry reminds me of one very important stat. That stat is that "YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND!" You go girl. We are with you every step of the way!
Hugs, Susan & Mark

Ali - praying that tumor now is in a zillion non-descript no- harmful particles and you continue to have the strength to float in the ring like you have been.. xoxo Steve

Today let's go with a few words of wisdom:

"To do is to be" - Descartes
"To be is to do" - Voltaire
"Do be do be do" - Sinatra

If you lend someone $20 and you never see that person again it was probably worth it.

If you live in a glass house
A) You shouldn't throw stones
B) You should change in the basement

If you can't see the bright side of life, polish the dull side

One good turn... usually gets most of the blanket

Support Bacteria.. It's the only culture some people have..

Whatever hits the fan will not be evenly distributed..

You can fool some of the people some of the time... and that is sufficient...

The meek shall inherit the earth but not until the rest of us are done with it..

Late night has been weak - hopefully this week will be better:

Barack Obama has been elected chancellor of Germany. Yesterday, Barack Obama was in the Fatherland. John McCain was in Grandfather land.

Barack Obama is now in France. John McCain is doing what he can to compete with him. Like today, he ordered the French toast combo at IHop.

The Dalai Lama had a near-death experience today — he met with John McCain.

Elyse,
I hope I have figured out this thing after 10 attempts. Only for you baby. You looked awesome the weekend before last and I heard from half of Atlanta that there was good news on the blog. You have the whole world pulling for you. And I hate to be wrong, so go ahead and kick this thing's ass.
XXX,
Lauren

Elyse,

We just heard about this blog, although we had heard the news of your illness a few weeks ago. Thanks for posting this and congratulations on the breakthrough. You continue to be in our thoughts.

Fondly,
