My Kingdom for a Bath

My kingdom for a bath. I want to clean up to welcome today's visitors. I have been trying since 5am to accomplish this simple, yet involved task.

I had a great day yesterday, talking, walking, and sitting up. Sleep came easily courtesy of last night's Sedate Debate of 08 (snappy catch phrase belongs to cousin Kathy). Worked better than valium chased by Baileys on the rocks. Doesn't matter anyway, because I've already cast my ballot.

I didn't have a clue how it would feel to lose a lung. Well. it feels darn good to get an organ riddled with disease out of my body. I have no sensation of loss in my chest. I am breathing easier, and my cough is virtually nonexistent except for clearing my right lung of the anesthesia.

I am definitely on the mend.

We've got a spa tub waiting for you and we'll only demand 1/2 your kingdom!!! Can't wait to see you. It's hard to "hold off" but the more days you have to heal, the more ready you'll be for me :). I'm sure you anxiously await Brother Neil's arrival. So great to hear you are feeling a sense of relief and peace. I know just having the diseased organ gone (aka, LUNGGONE) is a huge psychological boost and of course a physical one as well. This is just HUGE!!! We will see you soon. Scott gets back in town today after being gone 3 weeks...I'm glad you didn't need his blood! Thinking of you always and continue to look forward to your next masterpiece of written word.

LOVE,

L&S (and L)

That is just fantastic news!!
You are one amazing woman!!!
We saw Brent at Natalie's bat mitzvah and he was so cool. He came up , shook my hand and proceeded to tell me how great high school is. You and John just seem to be doing everything right.
I am inspired by your writing.
Be tough. You are just a few steps from a cure :)
Thinking of you

Some famous make up artist said all a woman needs to look good is her lipstick and earrings, so don't worry about the rest of the cleanup, plus if you look anything like you sound then you are positively glowing. I would love to come a see you, and will as you get a bit further along in your recovery. I imagine mostly family is hovering over you. We are available for any chores needed to get done. Take care you are always in my thouhts. Betsy
