Just heard this weekend (while at Sam's burial) about you illness. Needless to say I was saddened, but I am happy to hear you had surgery and all went well. Keep heart, in a few weeks you will be able to get your arms up and wash your hair without pain (I had a thoracoscopy and thoracoplasty in 06). If you ever just want to talk please give me a call, I have all sorts of new perspectives developed in the last 3 1/2 years.

Hi, I just ran across this while I was googling Sam's name. I heard only yesterday about Sam's passing after emailing a cousin of mine in Atlanta about my dad's passing. I was Sam's first patient when he came back to Atlanta. He was the one who got me back on my feet. He was not only a great doctor, but a great friend.
