Home, Again

The dachshunds are grinning from ear to ear John is reading Brent is doing homework and I am arranging pillows on the bed. I will sink into them and close my eyes and give thanks. For doctors, nurses, family, friends, the gift of life.

Sweetest dreams.

WELCOME HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
L'SHANA TOVAH!!!!!!!!!!!!
PEACE AND HEALTH!!!!!!!!!
Good things DO happen to good people. I know your bed will feel like heaven on earth. I'm so happy to hear you are home and relishing in the normalcy of your world. I enjoyed seeing Neil and your Mom at services, if only briefly. Even for those who don't celebrate Rosh Hashanah (Jewish or not), you can't deny the boost of a NEW YEAR and the promises it holds. I hope to see you soon!

Welcome home!!It's always good to be with the doggies, I mean family! They bring a strange sense of comfort that only they can give, I mean the dogs:) What an amazing blessing and miracle. It just strengthens my belief in the power of prayer and the positive energy that can be sent to others when they are loved by so many! Enjoy the peace of being in home in your own bed! Love ya, Bridgette

Hi Elyse,

You've been home a few days and I hope your lack of blogging is a good sign. I also hope you're getting plenty of rest and doing lots of healing. Just wanted to let you know we are thinking of you and wishing you well.

NOTE TO BURTON: You're a pretty brave guy taking on milkshakes like that!

It was SO good to see you walking down your driveway on this beautiful day!

As you have throughout this entire "episode," you continue to amaze me. Strength, determination, grace -- they all emanate from you and I'm more proud than ever to be able to be part of your life.
