This weekend was quite pleasant, all things considered.
I walked on the Greenway on Saturday morning, made a brief stop at a small farmer's market, and was able to party with friends on Saturday night. Although my version of partying was vastly different from most of the other guests, I still had fun. Today we picked my brother up at the airport, and we enjoyed a delicious dinner provided by family and friends, along with their company.
Since Thursday, I have managed to keep spooky thoughts at bay. Tomorrow I have my pre-op meeting, so that may set me back.
I know I am facing a critical week, but all your support helps keep my spirits up, and my mind focused on the tasks ahead.

Elyse,
Todays forecast is supposed to be beautiful. This is for you. Relax as best you can(this coming from me!!!!) Just take things one step at a time, and be calm. You know you are in good hands, and all will be fine. Enjoy the day(please try), and feel the love and support that surrounds you. If you need to smile think of the purse that I will have one day.

I'm glad Neil is by your side. I'm sure it brings great support and comfort. I know I won't be able to stop thinking of you tomorrow (but then again, that is pretty much every day). Do you need a Blogger Pro Temp? Let me know!
Elyse,
Glad to see you had a decent weekend. Best wishes for tomorrow. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I know you are gonna beat this.

Barry and I are thinking about you everday and wishing you much success tomorrow. Tell John to please give us an assignment to help make your lives easier.

Hey Elyse~
Thinking about your surgery tomorrow and believe you are going to do just fine. One thing I have always admired about you is your "no nonsense" approach to things...and it's that tenacity that will bring you through this. And because you are a woman of faith I want you to know that I am praying for you! Have John call us for anything...we're 10 seconds away. Love you.

Elyse--Just wanted you to know that I'm thinking about you, wishing you well tomorrow, and love you. I sent you a long email last week because I didn't know how to do this blogging thing. I finally got one of our interns to show me what to do! In the email, I told you that I hoped one of your recovery goals would be to come up and go skiing later this summer. The boat's ready, along with the slalom, as soon as you are, which I know won't be long. Love, Nicki
Elyse: I'll be sending all the positive thoughts and energy I can muster your way tomorrow, and for as long as you need them. I know, without question, that you are going to beat this. -Mary Beth

Hi Elyse, my thoughts are with you all of the time but you've especially been on my mind today. It's hard to say "stay tough" with all you're going through, but I know you will. You DO have such great support all around you, I know you must be inspired reading everyone's get-well wishes. "Hi" to John, Brent and Neil and we'll talk soon,
Karen
